Occupations assessed by ACECQA

ACECQA assesses the Early Childhood (Pre-Primary School) Teacher occupation; this function transferred from AITSL on 7 December 2024.

Key Occupations

Early Childhood Teacher

Always verify the designated assessing authority for your specific ANZSCO occupation code on the Department of Home Affairs skilled occupation list before applying.

Assessment requirements

Documentary assessment model

ACECQA conducts a documentary assessment against its Assessment Standards for the Early Childhood (Pre-Primary School) Teacher occupation. There is no examination and no interview.

Evidence and dual track

Applicants provide qualifications and supporting evidence demonstrating the relevant standards are met. Applicants who do not hold an already-approved qualification also have that qualification assessed under the National Quality Framework within the same application.

Single application, two strands

The qualification assessment and the migration skills assessment proceed together as a dual track within one application. This avoids a separate qualification application for those without prior approval.

Validity of the outcome

ACECQA does not state a fixed validity period for the assessment. The general Department of Home Affairs rule that a skills assessment must be no more than three years old when relied upon applies.

Why Visa Plan for your skill assessment with ACECQA?

Occupation confirmation

We confirm the correct CSOL occupation title and the designated assessing authority for your specific role before you apply, avoiding the cost of an incorrect application.

Application preparation

A complete, well-prepared application reduces the risk of delay or adverse outcome. We advise on documentation requirements, employment reference content, and how to present your qualifications and experience.

Migration strategy

A positive skills assessment is a prerequisite, not a migration plan. We build your complete migration strategy from the assessment through to visa grant or permanent residence.
