The placement allocations for the State and Territory nomination programs have undergone significant reductions for the 2023-24 program year. As at 1 November 2023, the current nomination status of each state for 190 and 491 visas and variations exist in the approaches taken by each state or territory authority in managing their allocations as indicated in the table below:
