191 visa income threshold

No Minimum Income Required for 191 Visas

On 20 June 2023, the Department of Home Affairs made an important announcement regarding the Skilled Regional PR visa (Subclass 191). That is, there is no minimum income threshold. However, the 191 visa applicants will still need to provide the notice of assessment for three (3) years.

This significant update reflects the Australian government’s recognition of the immense value that skilled migrants bring to regional areas. No longer minimum income requirement unveils a remarkable opportunity for individuals who aspire to attain permanent residency in the captivating regional landscapes of Australia.

Notice of Assessment for 191 Visa Applicants:

Primary applicants will still need to provide notices of assessment issued by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for duration of three financial years within the five-year period covered by their eligible visa. These notices are imperative in serving as evidence of the applicant’s financial standing and compliance with tax obligations throughout their stay in Australia.
