Which States are better for 491 Visas?

In order to answer this question, we need to make assumptions as follows:

  • Assumption 1: The level of interest among foreign individuals in 491 visas is directly correlated with the general population of the respective States and Territories. In simpler terms, States with larger populations tend to have a higher number of competitors vying for 491 visas.
  • Assumption 2: Other specific criteria, such as residency in the respective States and Territories, are disregarded.

We assess the allocation of nomination slots in relation to the population of the respective states. This rate serves as the decisive factor in determining the winners within the framework of the current nomination allocations for the financial year 2023/24.
